This is the Chunky Chevron Block. I didn't want it to feel too heavy so I went for a white background printed fabric for the large zig zag.

Craftsy BOM February
These are my Craftsy BOM February Blocks!! I really like these ;). I am partial to half square triangles though. I learned a new method for how to make them too! Each block was made using a different technique for the hst, one of which I knew and one I didn't. Which one is your favorite? I am looking forward to the March blocks!
This is the Balkan Puzzle or the Windblown Star. It is a traditional block from the 1930's. I really like this block and could see a whole quilt in this!

Craft Closet Makeover
Happy Thursday Everybody! Today is my little craft closet makeover post! yeah! Excited to show you all... Let me know what you guys think? Do you have any good organizational tips and ideas?
Here is my embroidery floss. I bought a men's belt and tie rack for $5! One of only 2 things I bought to organize the closet.
A coat hook that we used in Alaska that we don't need here in Hawaii! These little tins hold my thread... The crochet sunburst is just for fun. I can also hang things like...A wreath form and tape. This is a good place to put things up and out of the way.
Next over we have some binders and magazines for inspiration, a plastic tub for sewing notions I don't use all that much, my iron and my button jar.
The button jar. I wanted to take the buttons out of the plastic sandwich bags so it would be prettier, but they are all organized by color, so I decided to leave them alone. I had coins in this jar.
Some more organization. I love jadeite. This batter bowl is cracked down the middle so I got another one that I use in my kitchen, but this one still works. I also use my jadeite creamer cup for safety pins. I love using pretty things for organization.
I wrapped yarn around clothespins and put them in a container I wasn't using from the kitchen.
Inside the batter bowl. Small sewing and hand stitching stuff I use fairly regularly.
This is the wall art I made on my youtube channel in the last video! Check it out to see how to!
Aaaah. Much better.
Here is the detailed personal tour on my youtube channel as well!!

Craftsy BOM January
My Mom decided to do the Craftsy Block of the Month and asked if I would want to do it too, I said sure! So I did the January blocks yesterday. Basically it's 2 different blocks each month and they have a video that teaches you how to do it. This one is free, but Craftsy has tons of other online sewing classes where you can learn new skills, but those cost. These are my 2 blocks...
This is the wonky pound sign block. I'm not usually a "wonky" fan, but this one was ok ;).
The asterisk. My seams got a little bunchy in the center but I like how the print I chose gets expanded out by the white. This print is fun too ;).

A Pinteresting Pic
I have been messing around with Pixlr the past few days, practicing my photo editing, Pinterest appropriate photos and working on the overall improvement of my photo taking and editing. It's not perfect, but I think I'll get the hang of it! What do you think?

Spray Painted Hanging Wall File
Happy Wednesday everyone! Did you have a nice Valentine's Day? Here is a new fun little project! A spray painted wall file. I got the wall file from Target for around $4 and used some spray paint I had on hand. I made a little video to show you how to do it, super easy! Check it out!
Sorry the lighting isn't too great, this little techy desk is kinda in a cave.
This is my little tech desk. It sits right next to the kitchen, dining room and laundry room.

Some little minis
Hey Everyone! I promise I'm still here! We had house guests last week, so crafting and blogging was not too high on the list of priorities, but I did manage to finish up these little mini quilts. I wanted to make some more small minky backed mini quilts for Baby A, since I only have 1 for her and if its dirty then we are stuck. But they were fun so I made 3!
This first one is made from 3 Hullabaloo charm squares and some Kona Snow. I wanted to do some embroidery to see how well it held up with multiple washings. This one is fairly small at 13 x 9 3/4.
The back is mint green minky.
This one is made with 2 fabrics from the Tula Pink Prince Charming line. I love the coral. This one is mini too... 11 1/2 x 10.
Backed in ivory minky.
This one is a fun one! Its made with some Nicey Jane scraps from Heather Bailey. It's a bit larger, 14 3/4 by 11 1/2.
Backed in tan minky.
Hope you enjoyed looking at these as much I liked making them!

Simple Valentine's Banner
I wanted to make a quick little Valentine's decoration this year. I didn't really want to buy anything and I knew I had plenty of stuff to make something....plus I took Little Kid E to the store and told him he could pick out something Valentine's for us to take home and he said it was all girl stuff and picked out the Avengers Valentine set! Haha, so anyway, this was a fun, quick and inexpensive option.
Ahem... excuse my army issued vertical blinds. I'm still working on curtain/valance options ;)
I just cut out the letters from red and pink fabric and used pink DMC floss and a running stitch to attach the letters.
I also made 2 heart shaped yoyos and topped them off with a button.
Hope you like!

Finish and a Feature
Hey Everyone! Happy Thursday! How has your week been going? I have a finish to show you! I stitched up this little beauty on Monday.
I heart stitching. I heart Hawaii too... those little flowers are plumerias.
Thanks to my lovely Stepmom who helped me with the drawing. She's mighty talented that lady. Now I need to take it out of my hoop and decide what to do with it! Any thoughts?
Also, I was featured on this fun little site called Craft Corners. Check it out!
